A dental clinic app: repeat visits without receptionist calls.

An app makes sense for a network with several branches and thousands of patients: treatment plan reminders, loyalty bonuses, and two-tap booking bring patients back at a lower cost than SMS or ads. For a single clinic, we'll honestly recommend a PWA or WhatsApp bot instead.

The core economics of a dental clinic depend on repeat visits: hygiene every six months, implant and orthodontic treatment stages, the patient's family. An app turns this into a system: a push notification 'time for a check-up' instead of phone calls, a treatment plan with stages and prices always at hand, booking with a preferred doctor without any back-and-forth.

For a multi-branch network, an app solves another problem — a unified brand and unified database: one login, all branches, one loyalty program, one patient history regardless of which branch they visit.

We build native apps in Swift and Kotlin with our own backend and a clinic admin panel. Our experience comes from our own products 1Study and 1Work: apps with bookings, payments, and notifications used daily by thousands of people.

What it needs

What a clinic app must include.

Doctor booking

Available slots from the HIS or CRM schedule, branch and doctor selection, reschedule and cancellation, push confirmation.

Treatment plan

Stages, prices, and statuses from the patient record: what's done, what's next, how much is left to pay. Reduces drop-off between treatment stages.

History and documents

Visits, X-rays, doctor recommendations, receipts — on the patient's phone, no need to call reception.

Reminders

Push notifications for appointments, a check-up in 6 months, an orthodontic stage, promotions for services the patient hasn't used yet.

Loyalty and family

Loyalty program, family profile for children and parents, referral invitations with a bonus for both parties.

Payment and installments

Kaspi Pay inside the app, deposits, Kaspi installment plan for implants and braces, hygiene packages.

Chat with the clinic

WhatsApp or built-in chat with the receptionist and doctor, 'it hurts here' photo before the visit.

Admin panel and analytics

Schedule, patients, broadcast messages, repeat visit and revenue statistics by branch for management.

When you don't need it

Honestly: who won't get a return on an app.

A single clinic with 3–5 chairs usually doesn't need an app: patients won't install it for a visit every six months. The tasks of booking and reminders are covered by a website with online booking and CRM with WhatsApp at 10–15% of the app's cost.

An app pays off for a network of 3+ branches with a base of 5,000+ patients that has a loyalty program and regular services. If you're somewhere in between, we'll propose a PWA: the same functionality in a browser without app store publishing, at 2–3× lower cost.

Timeline

How we build it and how long it takes.

Brief and screen prototype — 1–2 weeks. Design — 2 weeks. Backend, iOS and Android development, HIS and Kaspi integration — 6–10 weeks. App Store and Google Play submission — 1–2 weeks with our moderation support. Total: from 8–10 weeks for the first version; we then iterate based on usage data.

Price and timeline

What affects the app price.

A network clinic app for iOS and Android with booking, history, reminders, and Kaspi — from ₸2,500,000, from 8 weeks. A PWA version without app stores — from ₸1,200,000. Support and ongoing development — from ₸60,000 per month.

Price increases with: HIS sync without a ready API, a treatment plan with stages, a loyalty program with custom rules, multiple branches with different price lists. Base prices are on the mobile apps page.

Questions

The short version.

How much does a dental clinic app cost?

A native iOS and Android app — from ₸2,500,000; a PWA without app stores — from ₸1,200,000. Timeline — from 8 weeks. We provide an estimate after the screen prototype.

Will the app see our HIS schedule?

Yes, if the HIS has an API. The patient then sees real available slots, and the booking goes into the doctor's schedule. Without an API, booking goes into the CRM with receptionist confirmation.

Can patients pay in the app via Kaspi?

Yes, Kaspi Pay for services and deposits; Kaspi installment plan via a redirect to the Kaspi app. Kaspi commission applies per your contract rate.

Will patients actually install the app?

They do when there's a clear benefit: loyalty bonuses, treatment plan, no-call booking, family profile. We drive installs at the first visit and with a registration bonus — that's what works for networks where the app performs well.

Who publishes to the App Store and Google Play?

We do, in your name: we set up developer accounts (Apple — $99/year, Google — $25 one-time), handle moderation, and update versions.

Discuss a project

Running a clinic network? Tell us about your branches and patient base — we'll assess whether an app will pay off.

Tell us the number of branches, patients in your base, and which HIS you use. We'll reply with an assessment and screen prototype within 2–3 business days.

We reply during working hours, usually within a couple of hours.
