App for microfinance organisations: a repeat loan in two taps and payments on time.
An app makes sense for an MFO with thousands of borrowers coming back: the approved limit on the home screen, a schedule and Kaspi payments, a push three days before the due date. For a new company we'll honestly suggest starting with a responsive website and borrower account.
MFO economics rest on repeat customers: the first loan is expensive because of ads and risk, while a repeat borrower with a good history is cheaper and more reliable. An app turns this into a system: a limit visible on the home screen, a repeat application without data entry, money on the card in minutes. A push notification is free, unlike SMS, and gets read more often than email.
The second task is payment discipline. A schedule, the balance, one-tap Kaspi payment, extensions under the company's rules and honest notice of what happens when payments are late reduce the share of overdue contracts without extra calls.
We build apps natively in Swift and Kotlin or with Flutter, with a backend and admin panel integrated with your loan system, scoring and biometrics provider. Our experience comes from our own products with payments, personal accounts and notifications used by thousands of people every day.
What an MFO app needs.
Login by phone and code, biometric selfie, consent to credit bureau checks, contract signing by code — the whole journey inside the app.
A pre-approved amount for customers with a good history, a repeat application in two taps, payout to a saved card.
All contracts, the next payment, outstanding balance, accruals and payment history — in plain words and in tenge.
Kaspi Pay and card payment in the app, partial and early repayment, extension under the company's rules.
Pushes 3 days before and on the due date, payment confirmation, new-limit notices; no pressure and only at permitted hours.
Contracts, schedule, loan closure and no-debt certificates — download as PDF without visiting an office.
Chat with an operator or a jump to WhatsApp, complaints with a number and status, as the complaints procedure requires.
Applications, approvals, disbursements, arrears by cohort, repeat-loan conversion, segmented messaging.

Honestly: who won't recoup an app.
For a new MFO or a pawnshop with one or two branches an app is usually premature: customers won't install it for a single loan, and all the tasks are covered by a website with an application and account and a CRM with reminders at a fraction of the cost.
An app pays off when repeat borrowers number in the thousands, repeat loans are a visible share of disbursements and the website account is already used daily. The middle option is a PWA: the same account with a home-screen icon and Android push notifications, without store publication, from ₸1,200,000.
Publishing a financial app.
The App Store and Google Play review loan apps separately. For personal loans Google Play requires a declaration and licence documents, disclosure of the effective rate, term and a sample calculation in the listing and in the app, and it restricts access to the user's contacts and photos. Apple requires a financial app to be published from the organisation's own account, not the studio's.
We prepare the description, sample calculations, privacy policy and answers for reviewers in advance and allow 1–3 weeks for review. Developer accounts are registered to your company.
What affects the price of an app.
An MFO app for iOS and Android with an application, biometrics, schedule, Kaspi payments and pushes starts at ₸2,500,000 and takes from 8 weeks. A PWA without the stores starts at ₸1,200,000. Support and development — from ₸60,000 per month.
The price goes up with a loan system without a ready API, several products with different extension logic, secured loans with photos and valuation, and a custom admin panel with cohort analytics. Base prices are on the mobile apps page.
The short version.
How much does an app for an MFO cost?
A native iOS and Android app starts at ₸2,500,000, a PWA at ₸1,200,000. Timeline: from 8 weeks plus store review. We give an estimate after reviewing your loan system and a screen prototype.
Will a loan app be approved in the App Store and Google Play?
Yes, with a licence, correct disclosure of terms and publication from your organisation's account. We know the stores' requirements for financial apps and build them in from the first prototype.
Will the app work with our loan system?
Yes, via API: applications, contracts, schedules and payments sync both ways. If there is no API, we build an intermediate exchange service, which adds time and cost.
Can we accept Kaspi payments in the app?
Yes, Kaspi Pay for repayment and extensions, plus card payments via a payment gateway. Fees follow your bank tariffs.
How do we keep reminders from feeling like pressure?
We set message frequency, timing and tone according to the law and the company's internal rules; customers manage consents in their profile. The goal is that people don't forget a payment, not that they get scared.
