App for pharmacies: loyalty card, reservation and reorder in one phone.
An app pays off for a chain with many regular customers: a loyalty card on the phone, medicine search with stock nearby, reservation in two taps and a reorder reminder. For one or two pharmacies we will honestly suggest a website with reservation or a PWA.
A pharmacy chain earns on frequency: customers come several times a month while the average receipt is small. An app makes that frequency manageable. The loyalty card is always on the phone, purchase history is visible to both customer and chain, and a push about a promotion on a usual product costs less than SMS and ads.
The second task is service. Find a medicine, see which nearby pharmacy has it, reserve it and pick it up without queuing; repeat a previous order with one tap; get a notification that the reservation is ready. OTC goods can be delivered; prescription drugs are reservation-only with dispensing against a prescription.
We build native apps in Swift and Kotlin with our own backend and admin panel. Stock and prices come from 1C or the pharmacy accounting system, bonuses from the loyalty programme, payments via Kaspi Pay.
What a pharmacy app needs.
Search by name and INN with suggestions, availability and price in nearby pharmacies by geolocation, a branch map and directions.
Reservation at a branch with a "ready" notification, delivery of OTC goods, real-time order status.
A virtual card with a barcode for the till, balance, accruals and redemptions, programme tiers.
A list of regular purchases and one-tap reorder; if the customer wishes, a reminder when the pack is about to run out.
Push notifications and offers in categories the customer buys: baby products, cosmetics, vitamins. No intrusive mailings.
Kaspi Pay for delivery and reservation prepayment, saved addresses, electronic receipts.
Questions about stock, analogues and dosage forms in chat or WhatsApp, a photo of the pack or prescription for selection.
Promotions, push, segments, statistics on reservations, repeat purchases and revenue by branch for the chain manager.

Honestly: who will not recoup an app.
One or two pharmacies usually do not need an app: customers will not install it for a single shop near home. Reservation, stock and contact with a pharmacist are covered by a website with a catalogue and WhatsApp, and regulars are retained by a till-based loyalty programme with a CRM.
An app pays off for a chain of 10+ branches with a loyalty programme and a noticeable share of regular customers. If the chain is smaller or the loyalty programme is only starting, we will suggest a PWA: loyalty card, search and reservation in the browser without store publishing, noticeably cheaper than a native app.
Medicine purchases are sensitive data.
Purchase history can reveal what a person is ill with, so we design pharmacy apps with minimal data collection: separate consents for personal data processing and for marketing, personal offers only by product category, no "diagnoses" in push notifications. Databases with customers' personal data are hosted on servers in Kazakhstan, as the personal data law requires. Access to purchase history in the admin panel is role-based with an activity log. Promotional pushes go only to those who opted in, and unsubscribing takes one tap in the profile.
What affects the price of an app.
A pharmacy chain app for iOS and Android with search, stock, reservation, loyalty card and Kaspi — from ₸2,500,000, from 8 weeks. A PWA version without stores — from ₸1,200,000. Support and development — from ₸60,000 per month.
The price grows with: 1C integration without a ready API, delivery with several services, complex loyalty rules, pharmacist chat, personal offers. Base prices are on the mobile apps page.
The short version.
How much does a pharmacy app cost?
A native app for iOS and Android starts at ₸2,500,000, a PWA without stores at ₸1,200,000. Timeline from 8 weeks. We give an estimate after the screen prototype.
Can an existing loyalty programme be moved into the app?
Yes. If bonuses are kept in 1C or a separate loyalty system, the app works with the same account: the phone card is read at the till and accruals appear immediately.
Will the app pass App Store and Google Play review?
Yes, if the pharmacy operates under a licence and follows medicine sale rules in its country. Stores may ask for licence confirmation — we prepare the documents and handle the review.
Can a prescription drug be ordered in the app?
Only reserved, with dispensing at the pharmacy against a prescription. In-app payment and delivery are for OTC medicines and related products.
Who publishes the app in the stores?
We do, on your behalf: we set up developer accounts (Apple — $99 per year, Google — $25 one-off), pass review and release updates.
