App for beauty salons: clients book themselves and keep coming back.
An app pays off for a chain of several locations with a client base in the thousands: a push notification 'time for your manicure', a loyalty programme and two-tap booking bring clients back cheaper than any advertising. For a single salon we'll honestly recommend a PWA or a WhatsApp bot.
The beauty industry is ideal for a mobile app for one reason: high visit frequency. A client comes every 3–4 weeks, and a push notification 'time for your manicure' at the right moment works better than any ad banner. The app turns one-time clients into regulars: visit history, favourite master, bonuses for every visit and memberships for a course of treatments.
For a chain, the app solves the single-brand challenge: one login, all locations, one loyalty programme, a unified client history regardless of which master they booked. This can't be achieved through Instagram and WhatsApp.
We develop apps with our own backend and admin panel. Our experience with regular bookings, payments and notifications comes from our own products 1Study and 1Work, used by thousands of people every day.
What a salon app must have.
Choose a location, service, master and available slot from a YClients or Altegio schedule; reschedule and cancel from the app, confirmation via push notification.
Earn bonuses for every visit, redeem bonuses towards part of a service, referral invitations with bonuses for both parties, loyalty tiers.
Purchase a membership for 5–10 treatments, gift certificates with a choice of denomination, usage history.
Booking reminder 24 hours and 2 hours before, a 'time for your next visit' push 25–30 days later, promotions for services the client uses.
All past visits, favourite masters, ability to repeat a booking in one tap.
Kaspi Pay inside the app, prepayment at booking, payment for memberships and certificates.
Masters' work filtered by service, client reviews, master ratings.
Master schedules, client database, segmented push campaigns, repeat visit and revenue statistics by location.
App screens.

Honestly: who won't see ROI from an app.
A single salon with 3–5 masters usually doesn't need an app: clients won't install it just to book once a month when there's a convenient online booking on the website. Reminders and retention are covered by a website with booking and CRM with WhatsApp at 10–15% of the app cost.
An app pays off for a chain of 3+ locations with a base of 3,000–5,000+ clients, an active loyalty programme and regular high-frequency services. If you're somewhere between these cases — we'll propose a PWA: the same functionality in the browser without App Store publishing, 2–3× cheaper.
How we build it and how long it takes.
Brief and screen prototype — 1–2 weeks. Design in the salon's brand style — 2 weeks. Backend development, iOS and Android, integration with the booking system and Kaspi Pay — 6–10 weeks. Publishing to the App Store and Google Play with our moderation support — 1–2 weeks. Total: from 8–10 weeks for the first version; we then iterate based on usage data.
What affects the app price.
A salon chain app for iOS and Android with booking, bonuses, push notifications and Kaspi Pay — from ₸2,500,000, from 8 weeks. PWA without stores — from ₸1,200,000. Support and further development — under a separate agreement.
Price increases with: YClients or Altegio integration without a ready API, a loyalty programme with tiers and rules, multiple locations with different price lists, memberships with expiry dates. Base prices on the mobile apps page.
The short version.
How much does a beauty salon app cost?
A native iOS and Android app — from ₸2,500,000; a PWA without stores — from ₸1,200,000. Timeline — from 8 weeks. We provide an estimate after the screen prototype.
Will the app show our masters' schedules from YClients?
Yes, if YClients or Altegio has an API — we integrate the schedule so clients see real available slots and bookings go directly into the system without double entry.
Can we accept Kaspi payments inside the app?
Yes, Kaspi Pay for services, memberships and certificates. Kaspi's commission is per your acquiring rate.
Will clients actually install the app?
They do when there's a benefit: sign-up bonuses, convenient booking without calling, visit history. We encourage installation at the front desk on the first visit and via a QR code in the salon.
Who publishes the app to the stores?
We do, in your name: we register developer accounts (Apple — $99/year, Google — $25 one-time), go through moderation and publish updates.
