A mobile app for cleaning companies: booking for customers and a working tool for cleaners.
An app in cleaning is two products. For customers — repeat booking in two taps, a subscription and Kaspi payment. For cleaners — schedule, addresses, checklists and photo reports instead of a dozen chats. It pays off when regular customers number in the hundreds and cleaners in the dozens; for a small company we will honestly suggest a PWA or a bot.
In cleaning, most revenue of a stable company comes from regular cleanings: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly. Such a customer does not want to message WhatsApp every time. An app gives them a subscription, rescheduling, Kaspi payment, cleaner ratings and the option to ask for the same cleaner as last time.
The other half is cleaners. When there are dozens of staff and hundreds of jobs a week, a schedule in chats breaks: someone misses an address change, someone forgets an add-on. The cleaner app shows shifts, route and the job checklist, accepts before and after photos and calculates piece-rate pay.
Both parts run on one backend with the CRM: the manager assigns jobs, the owner sees workload and quality. We build natively in Swift and Kotlin or cross-platform — chosen by budget and scenarios.
What a cleaning app includes.
Repeat the last cleaning, pick a saved address, price calculation by apartment parameters, free slots for the coming days.
Regular cleaning at the chosen frequency, auto-payment, reschedule or pause in one tap, subscription discount.
Kaspi Pay inside the app, saved payment method, receipts and payment history.
A rating after every cleaning, a request for the same cleaner, a complaint with photos — straight to the manager.
Shifts and jobs for the day, address and route, customer comments, intercom code, «on my way», «arrived», «done» buttons.
A list of tasks per room, mandatory before and after photos, ticked add-ons — fewer disputes at acceptance.
Cleaner earnings calculated by jobs, add-ons and ratings, export for accounting.
Job assignment, workload by district, subscriber churn, average order and repeat orders for the owner.
Screens of the customer app and the cleaner app.
- Sign-in by phone number and OTP
- Customer home: next cleaning, repeat order, promotions
- New order: cleaning type → parameters → add-ons → time
- Subscription: frequency, auto-payment, pause
- Cleaning history, photo reports and ratings
- Addresses and payment methods
- Cleaner: shifts and jobs for the day
- Cleaner: job with checklist, route and photos
- Cleaner: earnings and payouts
Honestly: who will not get a return on an app.
A company with 3–10 cleaners and one-off orders usually does not need an app: customers will not install it for a post-renovation cleaning once every few years. Orders are handled by a website with a calculator, and schedules and repeat orders by a CRM at 10–20 % of the app cost.
An app pays off when you have hundreds of regular-cleaning subscribers and dozens of cleaners: an in-app subscription retains customers, and the cleaner app saves the dispatcher's time. A middle option is a PWA or a Telegram bot for cleaners, 2–3 times cheaper than native.
How we build it and how long it takes.
Brief, customer and cleaner scenarios, screen prototype — 1–2 weeks. Design — 2 weeks. Backend, iOS and Android, CRM and Kaspi integrations — 6–10 weeks. Publishing to the App Store and Google Play — 1–2 weeks with review support. We often start with the cleaner app: it pays off faster and tests processes before the customer part launches. That way the dispatcher and cleaners get used to the new process, and customers get an already polished service.
For the first 1–2 months after launch we collect data: how often customers repeat orders, where they abandon booking, how much time cleaners spend on reports. The next version is planned on this data rather than adding features at random.
What affects the price of the app.
A customer app for iOS and Android with booking, subscription, Kaspi payment and history starts from ₸2,500,000, from 8 weeks. A cleaner app or a PWA instead of native starts from ₸1,200,000.
The price grows with: both parts at once, a subscription with auto-payment, crew workload in time selection, piece-rate pay with rules, integration with an existing CRM and 1C. Base prices are on the mobile apps page.
The short version.
How much does an app for a cleaning company cost?
A customer app for iOS and Android starts from ₸2,500,000, a PWA or a cleaner-only app from ₸1,200,000. We refine the estimate after describing the scenarios.
What comes first: the customer app or the cleaner app?
More often the cleaner app: it brings order to schedules and photo reports right away. A customer app makes sense once you already have a base of regular customers.
Can a subscription with auto-payment work via Kaspi?
Yes, via Kaspi Pay with the customer's consent to recurring charges; if a payment fails, the app offers manual payment and the CRM creates a task for the manager.
How long does development take?
The first version takes from 8–10 weeks, including store publishing. A cleaner app without the customer part is faster.
Who supports the app after launch?
We do: updates for new iOS and Android versions, fixes and development based on usage data — as a separate monthly support service.
