An app for hotels: booking, check-in and resort services on the guest's phone.
An app pays off for a hotel chain or resort complex where guests stay several days and buy spa treatments, dining, excursions and transfers. For a single city hotel we will honestly suggest a web app opened by QR code in the room — no installation and several times cheaper.
A city hotel guest stays one or two nights and will not install an app. A guest at a resort complex in Burabay or the Almaty mountains stays three to seven days and uses the spa, restaurant and excursions. For them an app replaces calls to reception: order breakfast to the room, book a massage, call a transfer, pay everything on one bill.
For a hotel chain an app works for loyalty: one account across all properties, accumulated points, member rates and direct booking without an OTA. It is a channel through which guests return with no commission.
We build native apps in Swift and Kotlin with our own backend and staff admin panel, and where installation is not justified, a guest web app that opens by QR code in the room and handles the same service orders.
What a hotel app needs.
Search for dates and rooms across all properties, rates for loyalty members, payment via Kaspi Pay or card.
Guest details and document upload before arrival, choice of arrival time — reception only hands over the key.
Room service, housekeeping, extra towels, transfer, equipment rental — the request goes to the right department, and the guest sees its status.
Treatment bookings, table reservations, excursions and workshops with available slots and payment.
All services in one folio from the PMS, payment before check-out in the app, electronic receipt.
Points for stays and services, member tiers, personal offers for the next visit.
Messages to reception in three languages, push notifications when the room is ready or the activity schedule changes.
Request queues by department, spa and activity schedules, mailings, reports on ancillary revenue.
App screens.

Honestly: who an app will not pay off for.
A city hotel with 20–60 rooms or a resort with cabins usually does not need a native app: guests stay briefly and will not install it. Booking is handled by a website with a booking engine, and guest communication by a CRM with WhatsApp.
For in-room service orders we will suggest a web app opened by QR code: restaurant menu, room service, spa and chat without installation. It starts at ₸1,200,000 instead of ₸2,500,000 and up. A native app makes sense for a chain of several hotels with a loyalty programme or for a resort with long stays and many paid services.
How we build it and how long it takes.
Brief, PMS audit and screen prototype — 1–2 weeks. Design — 2 weeks. Backend, iOS and Android development, integration with the PMS, channel manager and Kaspi — 6–10 weeks. Publishing to the App Store and Google Play — 1–2 weeks. The first version is best launched before the season, so for a summer resort work should start no later than January.
What affects the price of an app.
A native iOS and Android app with booking, service orders and Kaspi starts at ₸2,500,000, from 8 weeks. A guest web app opened by QR code (PWA) starts at ₸1,200,000. Support and development — from ₸60,000 per month.
The price goes up with: several properties with different rates, PMS integration without an open API, online check-in with document verification, a tiered loyalty programme. Base prices: mobile apps.
The short version.
How much does a hotel app cost?
A native iOS and Android app starts at ₸2,500,000, a guest web app opened by QR code at ₸1,200,000. Timeline from 8 weeks; we give an estimate after the prototype.
Will the app connect to our PMS?
Yes, if the PMS has an API (Bnovo, TravelLine, Shelter and others). Bookings, rooms and the guest bill then come from the PMS, and service orders go into the folio.
Can guests pay for the stay and services via Kaspi?
Yes, via Kaspi Pay inside the app: booking prepayment, service payments and the final bill. The Kaspi fee follows your tariff.
Will guests install the app?
Resort guests staying several days will, if the app is genuinely useful: service orders without calls and loyalty points. City hotel guests staying one night rarely do, so a QR-code web app suits them better.
Who publishes the app in the stores?
We do, on behalf of your company: we help set up developer accounts (Apple — $99 a year, Google — $25 one-off), go through review and release updates.
