1app is a team from Almaty. We build websites, apps and advertising to order, and at the same time run three products of our own used by 8,502 people. The second is the strongest argument for the first.
Why a studio builds its own products
Most studios live from order to order and see a project only until handover. We have run 1Study, 1Work and 1Ticket for years: shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play, answering users' questions, watching how Kaspi payments behave and what advertising brings in. That knowledge cannot be read in articles — it can only be accumulated.
So when a client comes for an app, we already know where Apple will reject the build, how to set up Kaspi Pay so the money goes straight to the owner, and which push notifications people switch off on day one. When a client comes for advertising, we know what an enquiry costs in different niches in Kazakhstan, because we pay for those enquiries ourselves.
How we are set up
The studio is small, and deliberately so. The task is discussed and done by an engineer, not a manager who will “pass it on to the developers”. On larger projects we bring in trusted designers, mobile developers and advertising specialists we have worked with on our own products. You always know exactly who is doing your work.
We automate a lot: builds, deployment, reporting, monitoring. That lets us keep prices below agencies with an office and a sales department, at the same quality.
Who we suit, and who we do not
We suit small and medium-sized businesses in Kazakhstan that need a working tool: a website that brings enquiries, an app people pay for, advertising that pays for itself. We suit startups at the MVP stage — we know how to build a first version quickly and cheaply, then grow it.
We do not suit you if you need a large team on the contractor's side, weekly presentations in an office, or “a site like our competitor's in three days”. And we do not take on projects we do not believe in — we say so at the brief.
Geography
Our base is Almaty. Clients: Almaty, Astana, Shymkent, Karaganda, Atyrau, as well as Russia and Uzbekistan. We work remotely and meet in Almaty when needed.

The core is a few engineers; designers, mobile developers and advertising specialists from a regular circle join for projects. The person you talk to is the person doing the work.
Do you have an office?
We have a base in Almaty, but almost all projects run remotely. A meeting in person in Almaty can be arranged.
