Mobile apps that make it to the App Store and Google Play.

We build business apps from idea to publishing and promotion: design, iOS and Android, back-end, Kaspi payments, push notifications, analytics. Our own apps, 1Study and 1Work, live in the stores and are updated every week.

Who it is for

  • Businesses with regular customers that need to be on their phones: schools, clubs, clinics, delivery, subscription services.
  • Companies with staff in the field: job requests, checklists, photos, geolocation, shifts.
  • Startups whose product is mobile by definition.
  • Companies with a web service that is ready for the stores, with push notifications, payments and offline mode.
What is included

What you get.

Design and specification

Scenarios, screens, navigation, roles. We decide what to build natively, what on Flutter, and whether an app is needed at all.

Design

An interface built to Apple and Google guidelines, a prototype in Figma, an icon and screenshots for the stores.

iOS

Swift and SwiftUI. Apple Pay, Sign in with Apple, push notifications, widgets, App Clips where needed.

Android

Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Google Pay, push notifications, Huawei services integration where needed.

Flutter

One codebase for both platforms, when budget and deadlines matter more than native features.

Back-end and API

Node.js and PostgreSQL: authentication, data, files, notifications, an admin panel for your team.

Payments

Kaspi Pay for goods and services, in-app purchases through Apple and Google for digital content.

Publishing

Developer accounts in your name, builds, Apple and Google review, responses to rejections.

Analytics and ASO

Firebase, events, funnels. Name, description, screenshots and keywords for the stores: ASO.

The choice

Native or Flutter.

Native (Swift + Kotlin): the best interface and performance, full access to platform capabilities, easier to pass review. More expensive: two apps instead of one. This is how 1Study and the personal finance app from our case studies are built.

Flutter: one team and one codebase, 30–40% cheaper and faster for typical business apps: lists, forms, payments, chats. This is how 1Work is built.

No app at all. Sometimes a Telegram bot or a web app added to the phone's home screen is enough. If so, we will say so at the brief and save you millions.

More in our article native or cross-platform app.

Experience

What we know about the stores that is not in the documentation.

Over several years of publishing our own apps we have been through dozens of Apple and Google reviews: rejections for 'insufficient functionality', account deletion requirements, in-app purchase rules, white label for each client, updates with data migration.

We know how to set up Kaspi payments so that Apple does not demand its 30%, how to configure push notifications that users do not switch off on day one, and how to pass review in days rather than weeks. All of this is built into the process and the price.

How we work

From enquiry to result.

  1. 1Discovery

1–2 weeks: scenarios, screens, technology choice, exact estimate. The output is a specification and a prototype.

  2. 2Design

The interface in Figma to platform guidelines, icon, screenshots.

  3. 3Development

Back-end and apps in parallel, weekly sprints. Test builds through TestFlight and Google Play Internal testing.

  4. 4Testing

On real devices, weak connections and different OS versions. We fix everything before publishing.

  5. 5Publishing and launch

Apple and Google review, store listings, analytics, first users. Then support and updates.

Price and timeline

What affects the price.

A Flutter app with 10–15 screens, authentication, Kaspi payment and a back-end is ₸2,500,000–4,500,000 and 8–12 weeks. Two native apps with the same functionality are ₸4,000,000–7,000,000. Complex products with offline mode, chats and geolocation are from ₸6,000,000.

Separately: developer accounts (Apple $99 a year, Google $25 one-off), push notification and map services at high volumes. Support and updates after launch are from ₸100,000 a month.

Our track record

We do this for ourselves too.

1Study: native iOS and Android apps, 8,076 students, white label under each school's brand in the stores. 1Work: a Flutter app for venue owners with POS integrations. For clients: a personal finance app on SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose with a shared back-end, and a counter app in the App Store. We publish store updates every week and know the review process from the inside.

Questions

The short version.

How much does a mobile app cost in Kazakhstan?

With us, from ₸2,500,000 for a Flutter app for both platforms with a back-end. Native apps from ₸4,000,000. A breakdown of the price and its components is in our article on app costs.

How long until publishing?

8–12 weeks for a typical app, including store review. Complex ones take 4–6 months with interim releases.

Do we need our own developer account?

Yes, the app is published under your name. We help you register Apple and Google accounts, including company verification.

How do we take payments in the app?

Real-world goods and services go through Kaspi Pay, with no store commission. Digital content and subscriptions to app features go through Apple and Google purchases. We will advise what suits you.

Can you build an app under our brand on top of your products?

Yes. 1Study has white label for schools. For other industries we discuss it: sometimes it is faster to start from a ready base than from scratch.

What happens after launch?

Updates for new iOS and Android versions, fixes, new features, replies to reviews, ASO. By subscription or in stages.

Discuss a project

Need an app? Tell us who will open it and why.

Describe the users and the main scenarios. We will say whether it should be native or Flutter and whether a back-end is needed, and send a discovery estimate.

We reply during working hours, usually within a couple of hours.
