Website for insurance companies: quote, purchase and payment for a policy in one visit.

Clients open an insurer's website on their phone to get a price and buy a policy right away. We build sites where the calculator shows the final amount, the contract is signed with an SMS code, payment goes through Kaspi, and the policy arrives by email and WhatsApp. Plus the mandatory disclosure, so the regulator has no questions.

An insurance company website solves two tasks at once. The first is sales: someone arrives from search or an ad with a specific question — «how much is car insurance» or «I need insurance for a visa» — and the site must give a price and issue the policy, not redirect to a contact centre. The second is trust and compliance: licence, insurance rules, tariffs, financial statements, complaint procedure and claims handling.

For mass products the key element is a calculator that fetches data on its own: by IIN and plate number it pulls the vehicle, driving experience and bonus-malus class through the core system connected to ESBD. For voluntary lines — clear programmes with «from» prices, coverage comparison and a fast request for advice.

We connect the site to a CRM: every unfinished quote becomes a lead with contact details, and every paid policy becomes a client with a renewal date.

What it needs

What an insurer website needs.

MTPL calculator

A quote by IIN and plate number with bonus-malus class, region and vehicle type; a final price without «check with a manager».

Online purchase and payment

Contract signing with an SMS code or EDS, payment via Kaspi Pay, Kaspi QR or card, electronic policy by email and WhatsApp.

Voluntary line calculators

CASCO by make, year and vehicle value; travel insurance by country, duration and sum insured; property and mortgage cover.

Policy check

A form to verify an active contract by policy number, IIN or plate number — a frequent query that brings people to the site.

Claims section

What to do after an accident, flooding or illness abroad; list of documents, online claim form with photo upload, 24/7 hotline numbers.

Disclosure

ARDFM licence, rules and tariffs, financial statements, ratings, shareholders, complaint procedure — in a dedicated, well-structured section.

Business pages

Employee accident insurance (OSNS), corporate VHI, cargo and commercial property — with a request form for a commercial proposal.

Two languages and speed

Russian and Kazakh versions of all pages, calculators and documents; load time under two seconds on mobile internet.

Site structure

Typical structure of an insurance company website.

  • Home: MTPL calculator on the first screen, insurance lines, benefits, claims
  • Motor: MTPL, CASCO, driver and passenger accident cover
  • Travel: visa insurance, by country, for students and athletes
  • Property: apartment, house, mortgage insurance
  • Health and life: VHI, accident, critical illness
  • For business: OSNS, employee VHI, cargo, liability
  • Insured event: instructions, documents, online claim, case status
  • Policy check and renewal
  • About and disclosure: licence, rules, tariffs, financial statements
  • Offices and agents on a map, contacts, blog answering client questions

Integration

Website calculator and core system: how to connect them.

The MTPL price depends on the bonus-malus class, region, driving experience and vehicle type, and this data exists only in ESBD. The website does not query ESBD directly: the request goes through the insurer's core system, which has access. Our job is to build a fast, clear interface on top of its API.

  1. Quote — the site sends IIN and plate number and receives the price and data for confirmation.
  2. Purchase — the client checks the data, accepts the rules and signs the contract with an SMS code.
  3. Payment — Kaspi Pay or card; after confirmation the core system issues the policy.
  4. Delivery — policy PDF by email and WhatsApp, a CRM record with the expiry date.

If the core system has no API, we start with a calculator and lead form while issuance stays with an operator — still faster than a phone call.

Mistakes

What stops an insurer website from selling.

  • The calculator asks for 15 fields that could be fetched by IIN and plate number.
  • The price appears only after entering a phone number — clients see it as a trap and leave.
  • Insurance rules are a single 80-page PDF with no short summary of coverage and exclusions.
  • No Kazakh version of the calculator and policy.
  • The «Insured event» section is a single phone number, and the claim form does not accept photos.
  • Disclosure is dumped as an undated list of files — both clients and inspectors notice.
Price and timeline

What affects the price of an insurer website.

A landing page for one product — for example travel insurance or CASCO — with a calculator and lead form: ₸250,000–₸400,000, 1–2 weeks. An insurance company website with all lines, calculators, disclosure section and two languages: ₸600,000–₸1,200,000, 4–6 weeks. A website with online policy issuance via the core system API and a client portal — from ₸1,500,000.

The price grows with the number of calculators and products, core system and CRM integration, a client portal, the size of the disclosure section and Kazakh versions of documents. Base prices are on the website development page.

Questions

The short version.

How much does a website for an insurance company cost?

A product landing page costs ₸250,000–₸400,000, a company website with calculators and two languages ₸600,000–₸1,200,000. With online policy issuance and a client portal — from ₸1,500,000.

Can an MTPL policy be issued directly on the website?

Yes, if the insurer's core system provides an API for quoting and issuing with an ESBD connection. We build the interface, SMS signing, payment and policy delivery; responsibility for ESBD data stays with the core system.

What must an insurer publish on its website?

Legal name, licence, rules and tariffs, financial statements, shareholder information and the complaint procedure — to the extent the regulator requires. We check the list with your compliance team at the start.

Does an agent need a separate website?

A landing page with a quote, lead form and link to online purchase at the insurer is enough for an agent. That is ₸250,000–₸400,000 and 1–2 weeks.

Where will client data be stored?

On servers in Kazakhstan: IIN and vehicle data are personal data, and the law requires such databases to be stored in the country. The form collects consent to processing.
