A website for diagnostic centres: scan price, preparation and the earliest slot on one screen.

A patient referred for a lumbar spine MRI needs to know three things: what this exact area costs, how to prepare and when they can come. We build a website where all three answers are on the scan page and booking a free slot takes a minute.

A diagnostic centre website works as a shop window for the schedule. The patient arrives with a specific scan — "knee MRI", "chest CT", "thyroid ultrasound", "thyroid hormone tests" — and compares price, time and how soon the report will be ready. If that is not on the page, they call, and a call at peak hour goes nowhere.

So every scan gets its own page: body areas and prices, with and without contrast, preparation, contraindications, duration, report turnaround and a button to book the nearest slot. For a laboratory the same is done from the LIS catalogue: hundreds of tests with price, turnaround and preparation are generated automatically and updated whenever the price list changes.

The second half of the website is service after the scan: a patient account with the report and images, sending results to the attending doctor, a section for doctors and partner clinics with a referral form, and one for companies with medical check-up terms.

What it needs

What a diagnostic centre website needs.

Prices by body area and method

MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, densitometry — broken down by area, with and without contrast. Prices from one table or the MIS, no manual page updates.

Booking free slots

Choice of scan, branch and time from the actual scanner schedule if the MIS has an API; otherwise a request confirmed by the receptionist within 15 minutes.

Preparation and contraindications

Every page explains how to prepare, what to bring, when contrast and a creatinine test are needed, limits for pacemakers and pregnancy. The instructions are sent to the patient after booking.

Lab catalogue from the LIS

Hundreds of tests and panels with price, turnaround, sample type and preparation; search by name, a cart and Kaspi Pay payment, choice of collection point or home visit.

Patient account with results

The report as a PDF and a link to view images, scan history, sign-in by phone number with a code. Data is stored on servers in Kazakhstan.

Section for doctors and clinics

Electronic referral form, partnership terms, sending results to the doctor, radiologist contact for consultation on complex cases.

Check-ups and corporate clients

Examination packages with contents and price, medical check-up terms for companies, a request form for a group of employees.

Legal block, languages and speed

Licence, equipment with scanner models, personal data policy, public offer; Russian and Kazakh versions, load time under 2 seconds, MedicalClinic and MedicalTest markup.

Site structure

Typical structure of a diagnostic centre website.

  • Home: services, nearest free slots, prices, addresses and opening hours
  • MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray: a separate page for each body area
  • Tests: LIS catalogue with search, prices and preparation
  • Check-up packages and comprehensive examinations
  • Prices: full price list filtered by method and branch
  • Scan preparation: instructions in Russian and Kazakh
  • Patient account: results, images, history
  • For doctors and clinics: referral, partnership, radiologist consultation
  • For companies: medical check-ups and contracts
  • About: equipment, doctors, licence; contacts and collection points on a map

System integration

Schedule, tests and images come from your systems, not by hand.

The main technical task of a diagnostics website is not design but integration. The scanner schedule comes from the MIS: if it has an API or a widget, the patient sees real windows and the booking goes straight into the schedule; if not, we build a request with a preferred time and confirmation in the CRM.

The test catalogue is exported from the LIS: codes, prices, turnaround, sample type. The website rebuilds pages on every price update, so the price online never differs from the price at the till.

Results are pulled from the LIS and PACS into the patient account: a PDF report and a link to view images without a disc. Before the project starts we check what exports your systems support — the estimate depends on it.

Mistakes

What stops a diagnostics website from getting bookings.

  • One price "MRI from …" instead of prices by body area — the patient does not know what they will pay and calls competitors.
  • No preparation on the page — the patient arrives unprepared, the scan is rescheduled, the slot is lost.
  • No scanner hours or night rate — a 24-hour scanner looks like an ordinary daytime centre.
  • The lab catalogue as a PDF — search engines do not index individual tests.
  • Results via an open link without sign-in — risk of leaks and personal data claims.
  • No Kazakh version of preparation instructions in regions where patients read in Kazakh.
Price and timeline

What affects the price of a diagnostic centre website.

A landing page for one direction — MRI, CT, ultrasound or check-ups — ₸250,000–₸400,000, 1–2 weeks. A centre website with prices by body area, scan pages, booking and two languages — ₸600,000–₸1,200,000, 3–6 weeks. A website with an LIS test catalogue, online payment and a results account — from ₸1,500,000.

The price goes up with: the number of scans and tests, integration with the MIS, LIS and PACS, online payment and a test cart, a Kazakh version, a partner section. Base prices are on the website development page.

Questions

The short version.

How much does a website for a diagnostic centre cost?

A landing page for one direction — ₸250,000–₸400,000; a centre website with prices, booking and two languages — ₸600,000–₸1,200,000; a website with a lab catalogue and patient account — from ₸1,500,000. We give an exact estimate within 1–2 days after a brief and a check of your systems.

Can the website show real free scanner slots?

Yes, if the MIS exposes the schedule via an API or a widget. Then the patient picks a time on a specific scanner and branch, and the booking appears in the schedule immediately. Without an API we build a request with a preferred time confirmed by the receptionist.

How do we publish a catalogue of hundreds of tests?

We export the price list from the LIS or a spreadsheet and generate a page for each test and panel with price, turnaround and preparation. When prices change, the pages update automatically.

How can results be delivered online safely?

Through a patient account with sign-in by phone number and a one-time code, stored on servers in Kazakhstan. The referring doctor gets a link with a limited validity period.

What happens after the website launches?

We hand over the website with goals for bookings, calls and payments set up. Next come search ads for diagnostic centres on high-intent queries and SEO across the scan catalogue.
