Targeted ads for logistics companies: B2B leads and consolidated cargo from Instagram and Facebook.

Targeted ads work differently from search ads in logistics: they don't catch existing demand but create it among people who ship regularly but don't yet know your company. We set up campaigns aimed at online store owners, buyers and foreign trade managers by interests and job titles, and route leads to WhatsApp and the CRM.

Logistics is a B2B niche, and targeted ads work here differently than in retail. The audience is not everyone but specific people: online store owners who buy goods in China, procurement staff at manufacturers, foreign trade managers, small businesses shipping consolidated cargo. Facebook and Instagram let you target by job title, interests (foreign trade, import, e-commerce) and behavior — not “all of Kazakhstan” but a few thousand of the right people.

A logistics offer in targeted ads has to be specific: not “we ship cargo” but “delivery from China in 12–18 days, get a cost estimate in 5 minutes” or “consolidated cargo Almaty–Astana: pickup from 50 kg, departures every Tuesday”. A specific route and transit time convert into requests; an abstract offer doesn't.

We receive leads in WhatsApp or a lead form passed to the CRM, where the manager sends a quote within 30 minutes. Retargeting website visitors and the client base from the CRM lowers the cost of repeat inquiries.

What it needs

What's included in logistics ad management.

B2B audiences

Targeting by job title (buyer, foreign trade manager, business owner), interests (import, e-commerce, wholesale), behavior and lookalikes based on the CRM client base.

Offers by route

Separate campaigns for each route with a specific transit time and price: China, Russia, Europe, domestic freight, consolidated cargo, customs clearance.

Creatives

Videos and static banners with specific numbers: transit times, rates, workflow. A video with a manager or the warehouse works better than stock photos of containers.

Lead forms and WhatsApp

A lead form with cargo parameters (route, weight, type) or a click to WhatsApp with a pre-filled message; passed to the CRM in seconds, with a notification to the manager.

Retargeting

Visitors of the website and specific route pages, people who watched a video but didn't leave a request — brought back with a reminder of the offer.

Client lookalikes

Lookalike audiences based on regular clients from the CRM — the cheapest leads once the first 200–300 contacts have accumulated.

Lead analytics

Meta Pixel, CRM and call tracking linked together: cost per lead, cost per quote request and deal conversion for each campaign and route.

Reporting and optimization

Weekly budget optimization across routes and a monthly report: requests, quotes, deals and revenue by campaign.

Campaigns & audiences

Campaign structure.

  • “Delivery from China” campaign: buyers, online store owners, an offer with transit time
  • “Consolidated cargo” campaign: small businesses, sole proprietors, a specific route and departure day
  • “Customs clearance” campaign: foreign trade managers, importers, a turnkey offer
  • “Domestic freight” campaign: manufacturing and trading companies
  • Retargeting: website and route page visitors
  • Lookalikes based on the CRM client base
  • Kazakh-language campaign for regional B2B
  • LinkedIn test for large corporate clients

Ad review

Logistics has fewer restrictions, but they exist.

Logistics is not a restricted category like medicine or finance, so ad review is easier. However, Meta rejects ads that promise guaranteed delivery times through customs, mention “grey” schemes or use certain wording about the cost of customs clearance. We write ads correctly from the first attempt: specific transit times as a guideline, the workflow as a process, with no guarantees that can't be kept.

Lead economics

What a B2B lead from targeted ads costs in logistics.

In our experience and according to market data in Kazakhstan: a lead for consolidated cargo and domestic freight costs ₸2,000–5,000, a quote request for international freight or customs clearance ₸5,000–15,000. The price depends on how specific the offer is and how fast the manager replies: if the reply takes more than an hour, lead-to-request conversion halves. One corporate client with regular shipments pays for several months of advertising, so the economics of targeted ads in B2B logistics are measured by client LTV, not by the first deal.

Price and timeline

What affects the management price.

Targeted ad management for a logistics company on one platform costs ₸150,000–250,000 per month; two platforms, several routes or two languages — ₸250,000–400,000. The ad budget is paid separately, at least ₸200,000 per month. Setup is included in the first month; a one-time setup without management costs ₸150,000.

Video creative production is estimated separately. General terms are on the targeted advertising page.

Questions

The short version.

Do targeted ads work for B2B logistics?

They do, but differently than in retail: the audience is narrower, the deal cycle longer, and the offer has to be specific on route and transit time. They work well for consolidated cargo, delivery from China for small businesses and retargeting website visitors.

How much does targeted ad management cost?

Management from ₸150,000 per month plus an ad budget from ₸200,000. The minimum entry is ₸350,000 per month in total. With less, the algorithms don't have time to learn on a B2B audience.

Which routes should we advertise first?

Those with a specific offer, a clear benefit and a quick request: consolidated cargo with a fixed departure day, delivery from China with an estimated transit time and price per kg. Turnkey customs clearance gets a separate campaign for the foreign trade audience.

When will requests start coming?

The first leads come in the first week; a stable cost per request comes in 3–4 weeks, after the campaigns learn and the working offers are selected.

Do we need a website for targeted ads?

Not for lead forms, but a landing page for a specific route with rates and workflow increases conversion. We often build a landing page for a route in parallel with campaign setup.
