Website, ads and CRM for renovation companies: from a per-m² quote to the handover certificate.

The owner of a new apartment spends months choosing who to trust with several million tenge: they compare prices per m², scroll through before/after projects and ask about the contract and warranty. We build a system for renovation companies where that choice ends in a site survey: a website with a calculator and portfolio, ads aimed at residents of new complexes, and a CRM from enquiry to handover.

How we build the systemRenovation companies

A turnkey apartment renovation is one of the most expensive purchases after the apartment itself, and clients know it. They fear three things: that the estimate will double, that the crew will disappear halfway through, and that the quality will be worse than promised. So the decision takes a long time, and people choose not the cheapest company but the one that looks transparent: a clear price per m², real projects, a contract with staged payments and photo reports.

The path to an enquiry is almost always the same: someone gets the keys in a new build, starts comparing offers on Instagram, 2GIS and Google, requests quotes from 4–6 companies and picks the one that came to measure first and explained the estimate clearly. A design project is often the entry point: whoever does the design usually gets the renovation too.

Below is what we do for apartment and office renovation companies: each direction has its own page with features, integrations and prices.

Typical problems

What renovation companies come to us with.

  • Survey requests land in the WhatsApp of the owner and foremen, estimates are calculated in Excel by everyone in their own way — nobody knows how many quotes became contracts or why a client left.
  • The website says “price on request” and shows three photos from the internet: the client cannot estimate a budget and goes to those with a calculator and real projects.
  • “Apartment renovation” ads run across the whole city, while most demand comes from specific complexes that have just handed over keys; the budget goes to random people.
  • The client rarely visits the site and calls the foreman every day: where are we on schedule, what was bought, what is the next payment for. Without photo reports distrust grows, and so do disputes at handover.
  • Portfolio and reviews are not collected systematically: projects are handed over, but before/after photos and videos stay on the craftsman’s phone.
  • Seasonal dips: in spring and summer there are more enquiries than crews, in winter there is downtime; nobody plans or warms up demand in advance.
Kazakhstan specifics

What matters specifically in Kazakhstan.

  • New builds — in Almaty and Astana most demand comes from apartments in shell or pre-finish condition after a complex is completed; ads and landing pages for specific complexes and key handover dates work better than a generic offer.
  • 2GIS — a company listing with project photos, prices and replies to reviews: clients use it to check that the company has an office and a real history, not just Instagram.
  • Kaspi — stage payments via Kaspi Pay by invoice or link, and instalments through Kaspi Red if the company is a partner; instalments noticeably lower the budget barrier for a renovation.
  • WhatsApp — the main channel with the client: survey, estimate, material approvals and photo reports by stage; with the WhatsApp Business API this runs from the CRM, not from the foreman’s personal phone.
  • Contract and redevelopment — a works contract with stages, deadlines and a warranty under the Civil Code of Kazakhstan; redevelopment requires a project and approval from the local akimat, and clients value a company that handles this.
  • Two languages — website and ads in Russian and Kazakh: in Astana, Shymkent and the southern regions a noticeable share of “пәтер жөндеу” searches is in Kazakh.
Where to start

The order that pays back faster.

  1. A website with a per-m² calculator and portfolio — without a clear price and real projects, ads bring people who leave after the first screen.
  2. CRM for surveys and estimates — records every enquiry, reminds you to call back after the survey and shows at which stage clients are lost.
  3. Targeted ads to residents of new complexes and PPC for “turnkey apartment renovation” — first surveys in 1–2 weeks.
  4. SEO — searches like “apartment renovation almaty price”, “apartment design project”, “office renovation”; results in 4–6 months.
  5. Client portal or app — when you have 10+ projects at once and it is time to move photo reports and payment schedules out of chats.
Questions

Questions from renovation companies.

How much does a website for a renovation company cost?

A landing page for one direction (turnkey renovation, design project, office renovation) costs ₸250,000–400,000; a full website with a calculator, project portfolio and two languages costs ₸600,000–1,200,000. Details on the website for renovation companies page.

Which ads work better for renovation: targeted or PPC?

PPC catches people already looking for a contractor (“turnkey apartment renovation astana”), while Instagram targeting reaches owners of apartments in new complexes before they start searching. We usually launch both; management from ₸150,000 per month per platform, ad budget separately.

Why does a renovation company need a CRM if everything is in WhatsApp?

WhatsApp keeps the conversation but does not show how many surveys became contracts, where an estimate stalled or when the next payment on a project is due. A CRM runs the deal from enquiry to handover, and WhatsApp chats stay — they are simply connected to the client card.

How do we show the client the estimate won’t grow?

A calculator with a range on the website, a detailed estimate from the CRM based on a template, a contract with fixed stages and photo reports for each stage. Process transparency is the main argument in this niche, stronger than a discount.

Does a renovation company need a mobile app?

A small company usually does not: a website, CRM and photo reports in WhatsApp are enough. For a company with 10+ projects at once, a client portal or app with stages, photos and payments saves foremen hours. More on the app for renovation companies page.
