Digital for event agencies: corporate and toi enquiries, concert tickets and entry control in one system.

An event has two very different buyers: a company ordering a corporate party or a conference, and a guest who buys a ticket a week before the date. We build a website with portfolio and estimates, ticket sales on your own domain with Kaspi payments, a CRM for enquiries and vendors, and advertising tied to the event date.

How we build the systemEvent agencies
1Ads & SEO2Website3CRM4Repeat sales

The event business in Kazakhstan splits into two models. A made-to-order agency sells a service: corporate parties, team building, conferences, product launches, weddings and toi celebrations. Here the client chooses by portfolio, reviews and how fast they received a clear estimate. A concert, stand-up or festival organiser sells tickets: every event has a date after which the ads and the page are worth nothing.

Both models are highly seasonal. New Year corporate parties are booked from September to November; Nauryz, graduations and the summer toi season make a second peak; conferences run in spring and autumn. If enquiries get lost in a manager's WhatsApp during those months, annual revenue takes a visible hit.

Below is what we do for event agencies and organisers: each direction has its own page with features, integrations and prices. For ticket sales we have our own product, 1Ticket.

Typical problems

What agencies and organisers come to us with.

  • The portfolio lives only on Instagram: a corporate client asks for a deck and cases by format, and the manager assembles it by hand from stories and other people's photos.
  • Corporate enquiries arrive via WhatsApp, Instagram and phone to different people; estimates are built in Excel, and in peak November some requests go unanswered.
  • Tickets are sold through an aggregator: the commission eats the margin, money arrives after the event, and the buyer base stays with the platform, not the organiser.
  • Concert ads start two weeks before the date and target all of Kazakhstan, although buyers live in one city; there is no retargeting of people who viewed the event page.
  • At the door staff check printed lists or screenshots, tickets get duplicated and forwarded, and the entry queue stretches to an hour.
  • Vendors (venue, catering, sound and light, host, decor) are agreed in chats; after the event nobody can quickly calculate the project margin.
Kazakhstan specifics

What matters specifically in Kazakhstan.

  • Kaspi — the main way to pay for tickets and event prepayments: Kaspi Pay on the site and by QR, invoice payment for companies; without Kaspi, ticket conversion is noticeably lower.
  • WhatsApp — the channel where a toi or corporate client negotiates; WhatsApp Business API lets you send estimates, prepayment reminders and QR e-tickets.
  • Two languages — toi celebrations, concerts by Kazakhstani artists and aitys are sold to an audience that searches and reads in Kazakh; event pages and ads in ru and kk reach different people.
  • B2B paperwork — corporate clients pay by contract and invoice and need a completion certificate and an e-invoice (ESF); the CRM and accounting should produce these without manual typing, and for government clients follow public procurement rules.
  • Advertising and age ratings — the advertising law bans promoting alcohol, so bars and alcohol-brand sponsors stay out of creatives; 16+ and 18+ events are labelled on the site, on tickets and in ads.
  • Fiscal receipts and refunds — a ticket paid online requires a fiscal receipt via an online cash register and fiscal data operator (OFD), and if the event is moved or cancelled the buyer is entitled to a refund; the refund procedure must be in the public offer.
Your own ticketing

Aggregator or tickets on your own website.

Aggregators bring traffic, but they take a commission on every ticket, hold the money until the event and keep the buyer base. For an organiser running several events a year, that means paying again for every returning guest.

Selling on your own domain changes the economics: the buyer pays via Kaspi directly to you, gets a QR ticket by WhatsApp and e-mail, and your staff scan it at the door from a phone. The buyer base stays with you, and the next announcement can go to it instead of buying the same audience in ads. That is why we built 1Ticket — it is currently in early access.

You don't have to switch the aggregator off: it often stays as an extra sales channel, while the main advertising goes to your own event page.

Where to start

The order for a made-to-order agency.

  1. Portfolio website with event formats, cases by event type and an estimate form — without it a corporate client won't get as far as calling.
  2. CRM with a corporate funnel — brief, estimate, contract, prepayment, vendors; launch it before the season, in August–September.
  3. Search ads for queries like "corporate party organisation", "team building", "toi host" — hot demand in season.
  4. Social ads with event videos for weddings and toi — a long cycle, but a large ticket.
  5. SEO by format and city — a low-cost flow in 4–6 months that doesn't depend on the seasonal auction.
Questions

Questions from event agencies and organisers.

How much does a website for an event agency cost?

A landing page for one format (New Year corporate party, team building, wedding) — ₸250,000–₸400,000; an agency website with portfolio, formats, estimate calculator and two languages — ₸600,000–₸1,200,000. Details on the website for event agencies page.

Can we sell tickets on our own website instead of an aggregator?

Yes: an event page on your domain, Kaspi payment directly to you, a QR e-ticket and a scanner at the door. Our product 1Ticket covers this; for complex cases with seating plans and season passes we build custom extensions.

When should we start advertising New Year corporate parties?

Companies start choosing an agency in September–October, and most enquiries come in October and November. The website, CRM and campaigns are best ready by the end of August, so the algorithms are trained by the peak.

Does an agency need a CRM if it has few orders?

With fewer than ten projects a month, a CRM matters most in season: no enquiry gets lost, the estimate goes out the same day, vendors and prepayments are visible for every event. Basic implementation — from ₸350,000.

Do we need an app for an event?

A made-to-order agency usually doesn't. An app makes sense for a recurring conference or festival with a programme, speakers and networking; a one-off event is fine with a PWA. More on the app for event agencies page.
