Digital for wholesale distributors: customer orders flow through a portal and CRM instead of an Excel price list.

A shop, café or car service orders from you every week: calls a manager, waits for the price list on WhatsApp, checks stock and balance. We turn this routine into a system: a B2B portal with personal prices and stock from 1C, a CRM with sales reps and repeat orders, search and ads for new customers.

How we build the systemWholesale distributors
1Ads & SEO2Website3CRM4Repeat sales

In wholesale, revenue comes from regular customers: retail shops, HoReCa, pharmacies, building supply yards and car services that order weekly or monthly. A new customer is expensive — sales reps and managers hunt for them — and easy to lose: a late reply, an out-of-stock item, a wrong price under their contract.

That is why the core of a wholesale company's digital setup is not a showcase but serving repeat orders. Customers should see their prices, warehouse stock, order status and balance at any moment, and managers should spend their time selling rather than forwarding price lists and reconciling by phone. All of this lives in 1C, and the job is to bring that data outside carefully.

Below is what we do for wholesale and distribution companies: each area has its own page with features, integrations and prices.

Typical problems

What wholesale companies come to us with.

  • The price list is sent as an Excel file over WhatsApp, customers hold different versions, and managers remember contract prices by heart or mix them up.
  • Orders arrive by phone, WhatsApp and email, and a manager re-enters them into 1C by hand — wrong items and shipments delayed by a day.
  • Customers cannot see stock and learn an item is unavailable only after paying the invoice; part of the order goes to a competitor.
  • Sales reps work from their own notebooks: management does not know who was visited, what was offered or why an outlet stopped ordering.
  • Receivables are checked once a month via reconciliation statements, not before shipment — goods go to customers already over their credit limit.
  • The website is a business card with no catalogue: the company does not show up for «wholesale almaty» queries, and new customers come only through referrals.
Kazakhstan specifics

What matters specifically in Kazakhstan.

  • 1C — almost every wholesaler keeps records in 1C:Trade Management, 1C:UNF or 1C:Accounting for Kazakhstan; the portal, CRM and app must take products, prices, stock and balances from there and send orders back.
  • E-invoices and EDI — electronic invoices in the IS ESF system and electronic document exchange are mandatory for B2B; customers need invoices, waybills and statements in their account, not just a cart.
  • Kaspi — small retail customers pay via Kaspi Pay and Kaspi QR, large ones by invoice with deferred payment; many wholesalers also sell on Kaspi Магазин, where stock must be synchronised too.
  • Product labelling — tobacco, footwear, medicines, water, dairy and several other groups are subject to mandatory labelling via the IS MPT system; it affects shipment records and documents.
  • Regions and two languages — distribution often covers several regions; in Shymkent, Turkestan, Kyzylorda and Taraz customers search and communicate in Kazakh, so the catalogue and mailings are needed in two languages.
  • WhatsApp and 2GIS — WhatsApp remains the main ordering channel for small outlets, and a 2GIS listing for the warehouse or showroom with address, hours and categories brings a noticeable share of new customers.
Where to start

The rollout order for a wholesaler.

  1. CRM integrated with 1C — customers, orders, sales reps and receivables in one place; without it the portal and ads work blind.
  2. B2B portal with personal prices, stock and repeat orders — removes routine and order errors from managers.
  3. Catalogue website built around «wholesale» queries by category — the base for finding new customers.
  4. Search ads on B2B queries — new customers in the first month while SEO gains positions.
  5. App for sales reps — once you have more than five reps and routes cover several districts or cities.
B2B and retail

One database, different rules for different customers.

A wholesaler rarely has a single customer type. A supermarket chain works under a contract, deferred payment and a specification; a small shop orders by the box and pays with Kaspi; a restaurant buys on a schedule and needs delivery by morning. So the system needs price types (wholesale, large wholesale, dealer, chain), a minimum order amount, a credit limit and payment terms at the customer level.

If you also sell retail — on your website or on Kaspi Магазин — the retail storefront and the B2B account run on the same 1C stock but with different prices and rules. This is decided at the design stage, not patched six months later.

Questions

Questions from wholesale companies.

How much does a B2B portal for a wholesale company cost?

A catalogue website with prices on request and an order form costs ₸600,000–1,200,000. A B2B portal with customer accounts, personal prices, stock and 1C exchange starts at ₸1,500,000. Details on the page website for wholesale distributors.

Can the portal be connected to our 1C?

Yes, that is the core of the project: products, price types, stock, counterparties and balances are exported from 1C, and orders come back to 1C as a «Customer order» document. Exchange runs through the standard 1C mechanism or an HTTP service, as often as every few minutes.

Does a wholesaler need a CRM if everything is in 1C?

1C tracks shipments and money but not customer work: whom to call, who stopped ordering, what the sales rep promised. A CRM covers sales and is linked to 1C so data is not entered twice.

Which advertising works in wholesale?

Search ads in Google Ads and Яндекс Директ on queries with «wholesale», «supplier», «distributor» plus a category work best. Instagram targeting works for small retail outlets and HoReCa if the offer is specific: minimum order, delivery, terms for new customers.

Do we need an app for sales reps?

If you have more than five reps working routes — yes: ordering at the outlet with stock and prices, offline mode, shelf photos and visit check-ins. To start, the CRM mobile app is often enough; more on an app for wholesale distributors.
